Giving a Voice to Mental Health
Becoming Mental Health Ambassadors in collaboration with the Richmond Foundation
Mar 22, 2025
Last Saturday, 22nd March, we organised a 3-hour workshop for our choir and band members centring on the importance of mental health, bearing the title "Giving a voice to Mental Health".
In collaboration with Richmond Foundation, and thanks to the very professional trainer. Rachel Dalli, our members managed to get an overview of what mental health is, how best to take care of our mental health and ways on how common mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety, can be managed. This was then followed by a lunch where our members could catch up over some great food!
This was certainly an opportunity to sit down and reflect on the importance of self care and taking care of not just our physical health, all within the context of our ongoing EU-funded project on mental health - Ensemble - Voices in harmony for minds in balance.
Special thanks also go to Dar Frate Jacuba for so kindly hosting us for the day and for their delicious food, as well as to Ivan Borg for so professionally capturing the highlights of the day.
